I have to apologize for the late update on this blog, I hate real life sometimes but what can you do? xD
So let's get on with this post!
Resident Evil 1 & 2 HQ Mods:
These mods were brought to my attention by forum user Cyrus, the mods themselves update the music, voice and fmvs in RE1 and 2. Created by modder Lexas87 links to them are below:
RE1 HQ MOD
RE2 HQ MOD
The most over the top mod I've ever seen:
So I previously mentioned Darkspyda in a modder profile, well here is a new project from him called the hookman's dance floor mod. It is a mod for RE2 and can be downloaded here:
RE2 Hookman's Dance Floor Mod
It is for all intents and purposes one of the most obscure mods I've seen in a while (in a good way!) this is the sort of unique stuff I love seeing in the old games, and just goes to show with a bit of patience stuff like this can be produced.
Zombies Climb & Fall mod:
I already mentioned this in a previous mod post, Martinbiohazard has released this mod and can be grabbed here:
Zombies can climb and Jump down mod RE2
It's still a WIP, so some bugs will occur use at your own risk!

Preview: Resident Evil 1.5 22/12/2019 Martin Biohazard
So this is just a quick preview of Martin's latest release.
I know Martin has being hacking this thing for a while now, each update though is always improved from the previous version. I will be doing a quick review when I have played this update myself however if you want to grab it and test it here is the forum thread:

A long delayed update
Finally a new post! To begin with I need to apologize for letting this place get a little dusty, I moved into my new place in November and i'm still now unpacking things. So lets begin with a few new updates:
NEW MODS
Modder Vegeta6804 recently released a new mod, this one focusing on new sound effects for weapons. To download this and read about it follow the link below:
http://re123.bplaced.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=929
Vegeta also released another mod that is supposed to be a harder mods called Claire's Nightmare. Info on this can be found on the link below:
http://re123.bplaced.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=22&p=6981#p6981
Modder -GHOST- has also released a mod for Resident Evil 1's Remake HD Remaster, that changes the files to match the translated files from Project Umbrella, more info and the link to mod is here:
http://re123.bplaced.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=36&p=6962#p6962
With that done, a few things I had planned have sadly shifted in terms of position, I will try my best to get those additional things done asap and keep this mod blog updated.

Did someone say Big Head Mode?
We all have seen big head modes in many games, as a unlockable or as a cheat command. However have seen them as mods for Resident Evil 2?
Introducing the big head style mods Darkspyda04 is currently working on, currently there is a few too look at in the thread:

Bio Evil aka Blast Processing for the Mega Drive
So since the Sega Mega Drive Mini (or Genesis depending on what part of the pond you come from) finally releases in the UK this Friday, I have decided to cover something that should interest RE fans a lot.
Introducing Bio Evil, a indie developed demake of the original Resident Evil only on the Sega Mega Drive. I have to admit I have watched progress on this with interest and glad it has progressed to where it is so far.
For more info on this game check out the link below:

Modder Profile -Rusty-
What can be said about -Rusty-? He's one of the old school modders who has been modding the classic games way before even the core modding forums was established. Above is his version of Akuma created after the infamous EGM April's Fool joke that he himself was an unlockable character.
Of course way before he even modded the actual RE games -Rusty- himself was doing modding/asset creation for Half Life (yes the original and considered a classic by many who have played it.)
How about one more for good measure? =P this is of course mostly his older work mod wise, below I will cover some of his newest stuff.
Links will be provided below:
What we have here is an assortment of what -Rusty- has provided for the community, these can all be obtained from the following link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/qlr4rzgyx6yhr9y/Rusty_RE2_ClassicStuff.7z/file
You can see a ton of unique mods, ranging from living zombie characters, some even from RE6, 1.5, the N64 exclusive costumes and yes even Distant Memories itself. This is the kind of stuff this community loves to work on and release. He has as a modder produced a lot of custom content for the community to enjoy, and I hope -Rusty- will continue to produce said content. There is also content he created for Requiem of Spies (which was one of the first mods ever created for Resident Evil 2) and various other older things, that have since vanished either to expired links, or thanks to site changes etc. If you can find these though then by all means check them out!
And a big thanks to -Rusty- himself for producing this content, he has a nack for emulating skins/textures that are similar to Capcom back in the 90's so all his custom content has that 90's charm we all know and love.

Lions, Tigers and zombies that can climb....oh my o.o
So something that I saw recently, while looking through Modder Martin Biohazard's Youtube was this new experiment/test/mod he uploaded. Zombies that can now climb and jump down....was bad enough when we were stuck in rooms with them, now they can climb?! Just goes to show how awesome this community is when stuff is tested to see what can and cannot be done.
